Nursing drug guides cover much of the more useful info found within the Physician's Drug Reference (PDR) guide but are far less bulky and expensive. The Davis's Drug Guide presented here is just one of several nursing specific drug guides that give relevant information such as pharmacokinetic data, dosing, side effects, adverse effects, things to monitor for when applicable, etc. Although an easy to use and factual guide, it should never replace the advice of a physician or pharmacist when available.
