The verdict on the juvenile accused in the brutal Nirbhaya gangrape case has been deferred till the 25th of July by the Juvenile Justice Board. Said to be the most brutal of the 6 men involved in the incident, the accused was 17 years and six months old when the crime was committed. He can get a maximum of 3 years in a remand home according to Indian laws on juvenile criminals. The family of Nirbhaya has been demanding that he be tried with the other 4 accused as an adult criminal and be awarded the maximum punishment possible.
