For well over a century, Korea has weathered through 35 years of colonization by Japan until the end of World War II. Then, in 1950, the Korean War began. The 1953 Armistice Agreement, signed by UN Command, North Korea and China, ended the battle but peace was not achieved - North Korea, South Korea and its people remain divided by the DMZ.
CROSSINGS: International women peacemakers set out on a journey across the Korean DMZ, calling for an end to a war that has divided its people. The team faces daunting challenges as they forge a path with their Korean sisters toward peace and reconciliation. A film by Deann Borshay Liem.
