A Farewell for airberlin - An Aileron Aviation Films Production

In dedication to airberlin.

On 15th August 2017 airberlin had to file insolvency. They have got a credit of 150 million euros to keep their licenses to be allowed to carry passangers around. Meanwhile Lufthansa, Easyjet, Niki and Condor evince interest in buying parts of airberlin. Today the desicion was made, airberlin will be sold in parts to Lufthansa and Easyjet.
Being founded in 1978 airberlin grew to the second biggest airline in Germany and the seventh biggest in Europe. Airberlin was connecting Europe, North Africa and America with a fleet of 122 aircrafts. On October 15 the last long-haul flight operated by airberlin will take place.
