VCU presents a public lecture by former Ambassador Rubén Zamora of El Salvador, on challenges and opportunities for US-Salvadoran and US-Latin American relations, and the current state of governance in El Salvador. Dr. Zamora was the Ambassador of El Salvador to the United States and the United Nations. He is also an author, political analyst, former vice president of the Legislative Assembly, and was a candidate for president of El Salvador in the first democratic elections following the 1980 - 1992 civil war.
