In this lesson we look at 3 ways in which we can come up with idea for adding second guitar parts.


Idea 1:

A simple rhythm idea where we split the bass note and the top notes of the chords. A very Steve Cropper esq idea. Clean sound with a touch of reverb

Idea 2:
We are outlining the notes of the chords with arpeggios, leaving a little space. Ala Johnny Marr. Slightly crunchy sound with some compression


Idea 3:
Adding more notes from the B natural minor scale to add more colour and flavour. overdrive and delay. I was thinking Radiohead.
