Donepezil (ARICEPT) tablets are given in the night to control dementia of Alzheimer’s type. It can also be given with Memantine. In the elders, it can cause few important side effects. Clinically, it is classified as an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor that improves cholinergic transmission in your brain.

Donepezil increases the transmission of acetylcholine, thereby improving the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and the quality of life. Donepezil is available as a normal tablet as well as an orally disintegrating tablet.
