Will there be a fourth stimulus check? There a now 80 members of Congress calling for a 4th stimulus check to be included in one or both of the next infrastructure spending bills.
President Biden has told congress to decided on whether to included a fourth stimulus check in the build back better plan or the American families plan. Late last week another 10 members of congress said they support some level of 4th stimulus check to the people. 56 of the 80 wants recurring $2000 stimulus checks. Some wants $2000 down and $1000 a month until the pandemic is over. The new 10 just said the believe a fourth stimulus check would help American's get back on their feet. The Biden administration said some of their new definitions of infrastructure were a stretch and would compromise by lowering the build back better plan to $1.7 trillion. Republicans say it is still to high and under old infrastructure definitions there is lots of wasteful spending. Republican's believe cutting out wasteful spending will save the country a lot of debt and they can avoid raising taxes on people and businesses. Biden says he won't support progressive student loan debt forgiveness but it appears $10,000 of student loan forgiveness is still on the table. China and other Asian countries say they are worried about the US debt and coming inflation.
