• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp cumin powder
• Salt, to taste
• Water, as needed
• Spinach leaves (fresh and whole)
• Oil, for deep frying

For Tamarind (Imli) Chutney:
• 1/2 cup tamarind (imli)
• 1/3 cup jaggery (gud)
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
• 1 tsp black salt
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• 2 tsp melon seeds
• Water, as needed
