Making it clear to Sachin Pilot that arm-twisting tactics won't work with the party leadership, Congress dropped his name from its star campaigner list. Party released its list of 40-star campaigners for Karnataka Assembly polls that included the names of senior party leaders and newly inducted former CM Jagadish Shettar. Apart from other senior party leaders, the list included Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The infighting continues within the Rajasthan Congress. Last week Pilot protested against his own government over failing to investigate corruption cases against the previous Raje govt to which state-in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa objected, stating that Pilot's method was not right. Rajasthan is at stake for the party as it will go for crucial assembly polls at the end of this year.
