Ukraine's SBU security service said that it uncovered Russian agents seeking the location of Ukraine's Western-supplied F-16 jets. The SBU said it "neutralized a large-scale network" of 12 agents and informants trying to locate secret airfields where F-16 jets might be based. Ukraine received its first US-made F-16 in August after long pleading for them and has been deploying them for operations within Ukraine. The agents also scouted Ukraine's air defense positions and sought firms producing electronic warfare equipment to counter drones, the SBU said. The network included some Ukrainian army deserters “who were recruited by the Russian special service while hiding from justice," the SBU said.
