The historical Buddha Shakyamuni belongs to the Nirmanakaya Buddhas, the various forms of the emanation body, all of which are human Buddhas. In this so-called "fortunate aeon," a total of 1000 historical Buddhas appear, of which the Buddha of our time, Buddha Shakyamuni, is the fourth.
He found numerous teachers, but none of their teachings satisfied him. After fasting for six years, he went to Bodhgaya, where he sat under a Bodhi tree and vowed to remain there in meditation until he overcame suffering. After meditating intensely, he attained full enlightenment at the age of 35 on a full moon day in May. For the rest of his life, he traveled from place to place, teaching and gathering disciples around him.
Prince Siddhartha lived from 560 to 478 BC and was born into a noble family of the warrior caste of the Shakya clan in Lumbini, a park in present-day Nepal.
At the age of 29, Siddhartha left his life as a prince after encountering suffering for the first time on three rides outside his palace: first an old man, then a sick man, and finally a corpse. On his fourth ride, he saw a man meditating and set himself the goal of overcoming suffering.
Siddhartha Gautama, known as Shakyamuni, "the mighty one of the Shakya clan," died in Kushinagara.
Buddha Shakyamuni’s Mantra is
TEYATA OM MUNE MUNE MAHA MUNAYE SOHA
ཏ་དྱ་ཐཱ། ཨོཾ་མུ་ནེ་མུ་ནེ་མ་ཧཱ་མུ་ན་ཡེ་སྭ་ཧཱ།
Buddha is an expression of the goal to be reached. Meditating on him guides to the freedom from all veils and the accomplishment of all qualities of mind.
