Graduate students meet in the Bovee University Center Mackinaw Room to kick off the LGBTQ events for Pride Month at Central Michigan University. Many of the graduate students did not know each other and shared each other's stories about the experiences and challenges they've faced due to their sexual orientations. They shared stories about their experiences coming out to their family, friends, the challenges of being part of the LGBTQ community during this day and age as well as the importance of being there for their community.
