Summary:
In this review, we’ll be looking at the Eero ecosystem, specifically the four WiFi 6 models: Eero 6, Eero 6+, Eero Pro 6, and Eero Pro 6E.
For those who want to dip their toes into WiFi 6 and Thread radio waters, the Eero 6 and Eero 6+ are the best value. These models are ideal for houses under 4,000 square feet. They’re best for those who pay for an ISP speed of 500Mbps or less and have under 75 connected devices.
On the higher end, the Eero Pro 6 is ideal for those who want the best performance in 2023. Its third band provides more space for node-to-node and device communication compared to the dual-band systems, and it can handle over 100 devices at once. However, don't expect to get gigabit speeds with this system.
The Eero Pro 6E is the only Eero system that I don’t recommend. It's not equipped for a 2023 world with a limited amount of 6GHz devices in the wild, and way more expensive than the Eero 6+ for a similar performance.
If you're still unsure which configuration would work best for you, Eero has a questionnaire (linked above) that can recommend a model and configuration based on your house size and number of devices.
