The European Chess Club Cup takes place October 3-9, 2022, in Mayrhofen, Austria. The format is a 7-round Swiss. The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting on move one. The total prize fund of the event, which includes elite players such as GMs Magnus Carlsen, Viswanathan Anand, Richard Rapport, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Eric Hansen, and many others, will be 40,000 EUR (25,000 EUR for the open event and 15,000 EUR for the women’s event).
