The good news: The LEGO Group has unveiled a brand new giant minifigure pirate! 40504 A Minifigure Tribute is a 1,041 piece set that recreates the iconic Captain Redbeard, and will go on sale March 1.
The bad news: if you want it… you’ve got to go to Billund in Denmark. This set is exclusive to LEGO House, the purported ‘Home of the Brick’.
Early LEGO House exclusives were eventually made more widely available, but that was during a pandemic, which did skew things a little. Subsequent exclusive sets have remained stubbornly, well, exclusive.
