At least 16 people including two newborn babies were killed after three gunmen disguised as policemen attacked a hospital in the Afghan capital Kabul on May 11, 2020, according to an interior ministry statement. The attack occurred on the same day a suicide blast in the eastern province of Nangarhar killed over a dozen people attending a funeral, and was part of a rising wave of violence in Afghanistan.
