Dance piece (world premiere) by Goyo Montero based on the novel of the same name by Hermann Hesse
For his new creation, ballet director Goyo Montero was inspired by Hermann Hesse's "Der Steppenwolf", the cult book of the 1968 generation. In the book, Hesse exemplifies the torn nature of an artist's personality between bourgeois morality on the one hand and the desire for freedom and intoxication on the other.
Head choreographer Goyo Montero has developed a theatrical production based on the aesthetics of performance art in the wake of great artists such as Joseph Beuys, which also emphasises the acting talents of the dancers. "Der Steppenwolf" will also be a very immersive piece that takes the audience into the action on stage.
