To meet your protein requirements-
- Do not go out of your traditional, heritage practices of food. Veg to non-veg or egg, etc.
- Do not go out of regional practices of food. E.g. Inclusion of sattu for protein or makhana. You can do it to share heritage but not as a source of protein.
- Do not alter time-tested proportions of food. Increasing urad dal in idli prep or moong dal in khichdi. Or removing yolk & increasing no of eggs to eat at one time etc
- Do not eat international sources of protein either - edamame or peanut butter or greek yogurt. When you do, do it for a change not for protein.
- Digestibility of protein more important than consumption
- Disrupted digestion means not just more gas & bloating but also more products like fibre or pre & pro biotic supplements or overuse of minerals like Mg, etc.
