Building off the board, on plastic, is a fun way to have flexibility as to where you place your collage pieces. I use this technique often!! I hope you will give it a try.
UPDATE - A sweet Golden Teaching Artist gave me the actual, technical process that is happening with this "skin". ACRYLIC, made of polymer emulsion and other things will resist POLYETHYLENE plastic (like sheet protectors). Any acrylic medium, paint, gel or paste, will resist polyethylene once it is dry :)
