Being a member of the PMA Maharlika Class of 1984 Silent Drill Batallion, I remember the countless practices that we endured to produce a flawless presentation. The 4am practices in Borromeo Field amidst the Loakan morning clouds and chilling weather. Memorizing the silent counts and rifle exercises. The hot dress gray sticking to our bodies during hot presentation days. All for the good of the Academy/Class.

When the last rifle sequence is done, nakakapang high morale na at malapit nang mag privilege and entertain!

This is the first Presidential Silent Drill Competition conducted by the Presidential Security Group (PSG), together with the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) – Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (J9).

Silent drill teams from seven (7) service academies which include the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), Philippine Army Officer Candidate School (PAOCS), Philippine Navy Officer Candidate School (PNOCS), Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate School (PAFOCS), and Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) participated in the competition.

GREAT JOB to the current PMA Silent Drill training staff and of course to the silent drillers. Load and load!
