My (not so) epic manual lemon juicer press vs. stainless steel handheld lemon and lime squeezer comparison. Which will win?!!!

I have a lemon tree. Lots of lemons end up on the ground. I sweep those lemons into a container. Then, I squeeze them to make lemon juice. I use the lemon juice to cook and for delicious homemade lemonade recipes and for (semi) bad @$$ Arnold Palmers.

In the video, I have set up a vary non-scientific experiment to compare two types of lemon squeezers: Manual lemon juicer press (aka the turn-y one) and the Handheld lemon squeezer (aka the scissor-ie one). In retrospect, the latter may actually be for limes. But, hey, they obviously are effective for lemons as well. Both did a great job at juicing the lemons.

I weighted out the batch of lemons I had for the comparison and came up with about approx. 1.15 lbs of lemons for each to extract. In the end, the lemon press won out by maybe a tablespoon or so. It was able to dig into the lemons more efficiently. Also, it was easier on the hands and faster. I'll have to find the other type of lemon press with the vertical action (aka the smasher) to compare on of these days.

Having a lemon tree is pretty awesome. Many recipes require lemon. It's the closest to real and pure organic lemon juice you can get and for free! Also, the benefits of lemon juice are great. Is lemon juice good for you? Yup! It has some awesome nutrition specs, most well-known of which being Vitamin C! Just a simple glass of lemon juice in water is great for digestion and for your health.
