This is a very casual way of brewing your Chinese green tea. You only need loose tea leaves, hot water and a cup or a bowl (here I use a gaiwan). I like to warm up my teaware and rinse the leaves, but these are optional.
And then you sip from the bowl, you don't need to check the time, temperature and so forth. You add more water when the cup is almost empty, and when the taste gets too weak you add more leaves.
This is actually the way people in most parts of China drink their green tea.
I like to use a gaiwan because then you can push away the floating leaves with the lid, but eventually most leaves will sink. Enjoy!
Recipe: about 1.5-2g of leaves in 100ml, 80C water
