The Gujarat government has dedicated this year to Swami Vivekanandaji under the name Yuva Shakti Varsh. On September 11, 1893 a very significant event related to Swami Vivekananda's life had taken place in USA, Chicago. Young generation today is addicted to gutka, and thus is vulnerable to deadly diseases like Cancer. Because of the gutka addiction, several mothers have lost their children and many youngsters have lost their lives. Gutka is expensive than almonds. If we ask somebody to buy and eat almonds from the market, he would say "I can't afford to have almonds in this inflation". If you calculate which of the two items—gutka or almond— is expensive, you will be surprised to learn that gutka costs more than almonds! Brothers and sisters! I have to save Gujarat's youngsters from this deadly disease Cancer. This is the reason why the government of Gujarat has decided to implement a complete ban on gutka from September 11, 2012 onwards. The deadline ensures complete disposal of the existing stock of gutka that is in circulation. People should neither buy new stock nor should they store it before September 11 for later consumption.
