Despite having less horses, the mclaren f1 was ahead of the TR until about 389kmh when the porsche's superior horsepower kick in. Because The Mclaren F1 is more aerodynamic and far lighter, it needed WAAY less hp to achieve a faster topend accel and smiliar topspeed.Although Porsche reached 391kmh, it proly had enough to go higher, maybe 400kmh.
