1 US Cup = 240 ml
Ingredients:
Black-Eyed Beans (Peas), 1 Cup
Wash and soak overnight, then drain
Submerge in enough water, add 1/2 teaspoon Salt and pressure cook till 4 whistles
For the Curry paste:
2-3 Tablespoons Oil
1 large Onion, roughly chopped
2 large-sized Tomato, roughly chopped
1 Inch Ginger, sliced
6 Garlic cloves, sliced
5-6 Cashew nuts
Salt to taste
2 Tablespoons Oil
2 Bay Leaves
2 Byadgi Chillies
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
1 Tablespoon Coriander powder
1 Tablespoon Kashmiri Chilli powder
The Ground paste
The Cooked Beans
Water to adjust consistency
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
Salt to taste
1 Tablespoon Ketchup (+/-)
1 Tablespoon Kasoori Methi
1 teaspoon Garam Masala
Fresh, chopped Coriander
