This is the lecture that Brian Cox gave on the 26th of February before receiving the 7th John Collier Medal for his excellent work in broadcasting and educating the public. The topic of the lecture is 'The Value of Scientific Exploration'. Brian Cox is the youngest ever recipient of the award and during the lecture suggests that there could be a way through scientific exploration to re-establish growth and get Britain out of the recession by increasing the funding for scientific research.
