In this final video in the Deep Dive Series for Returnal, I’m going to present to you what I think is my new favorite Returnal timeline explainer theory. One that goes under a very dark path but thanks to the new audiologs, xenoarchives and other clues available in the new Ascension DLC, shines a brand new light on Selene’s case, getting us one step closer to a possible ultimate truth: Selene is a murderer. Take into consideration that this theory doesn’t bash any of the OTHER theories that all of you lovely PlayStation fans have left in the comments of my previous Returnal videos, it is in fact, just one more theory by a guy that loves the game. And that is the beauty of the story of Returnal, a journey that is open to interpretation from start to finish, time and time again.
