Summary Court Martial as a disciplinary process is used by the commanding officer as a forum for maintenance of discipline and speedy finalization of cases involving violation of Military Code. This session explains the procedure and modalities of conducting such courts martial.
Maj Gen Nilendra Kumar was Judge Advocate General of the Indian Army from 2001 to 2008. Thereafter, he headed Amity Law School, Noida as its Director from 2009 -16. Presently he is the Executive Director of Indian Society of International Law while also heading Lex Consilium Foundation, a charitable company incorporated under section 8 of the Company's Act devoted primarily to legal education. He is also an author, commentator and YouTuber on law and other subjects.
