Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire Violated in 48 Hours, Blame Game Begins between Israel and Hezbollah
The Israeli military announced on Thursday that its air force had targeted a facility in southern Lebanon used by Hezbollah to store mid-range rockets, following accusations from both sides of violating a ceasefire intended to end over a year of conflict. Israel stated that it also fired on "suspects" with vehicles approaching several locations in the southern zone, deeming this a breach of the truce with the Iran-backed group Hezbollah. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also said that he had instructed the military to be ready for intense fighting if the ceasefire was violated. In response, Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah accused Israel of breaching the agreement. The Lebanese army also reported multiple Israeli violations of the ceasefire on November 27 and 28.
