On May 15, 2017, CN 6013 led a taconite ore train from Minorca mine to Two Harbors, MN, on the former DM&IR Iron Range Subdivision.

The train had a warrant from Allen Junction to Highland, where the dispatcher told them they were meeting two northbounds. Upon arrival, the train met DMIR 407 north on an ore empty, then after a crew change and a new warrant, met BLE 907 on the MRF.
