Ganinan Yama is where the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas 2 of Russia and his family were dumped down a mineshaft in the forest, after they were brutally murdered in Yekaterinburg. The Romanov remains were hidden or buried here for 73 years.
After they their remains were exhumed in 1991, this location has become a holy site. The Russian Orthodox Church has built 7 cathedrals in their honor, and pilgrims come to pay their respects and pray. There is also a monastery on the site, Ганина Яма in the outskirts of Yekaterinburg.
Oh, and yes. All the bodies have been recovered. Anastasia did not escape and survive overseas. Their remains now lie with rest of the Romanov monarchs in Saint Petersburg.
