Here is an offering for the 150th birth anniversary of Mahāthma Gandhi (02 Oct 2018), a creative tribute made by Dr. M Balamuralikrishna (BMK).

This recording was actually made during Mahāthma’s 125th birth anniversary.

Rāga Móhan Gāndhi is a creation of BMK and is derived from the Mélakarta Chalanāta (36).

The scale of the rāga is as follows:
Aa : s g3 r3 g3 m1 p d3 p n3 S
Av: S n3 d3 p m2 p m1 r3 s g3 s

The objective of sharing this song is threefold; first, as a respectful homage to the Mahāthma on his birthday; second, as BMK’s contribution in creating and crediting the rāga to the Mahāthma; and the third, to enable music students and enthusiasts to learn and explore the rāga Móhan Gāndhi.
