This is the assembly and test footage of my large homemade camera crane.
After successfully making a electric camera slider I thought id have a go at building a large camera crane, using things that are relativity easy to find. Ive watched pretty much every camera crane How to Video on youtube and picked the best ideas & methods that I could find. The base is made from a modified surveyors tripod, the boom arms are made from concreters screeds, and the tilt/adjust arm from a bullfloat. Dont forget to sub and feel free to ask any questions about my design / bodgyness :)
Video mostly filmed using an ipad with an app (which was meant to be HD .. but wasnt...shouldve just stuck to the camera app that came with the ipad) Audio was zoom h4n with lapel and synced to ipad clip. Camera on Crane is Canon xf100 (search for canon XF100/105 group on Facebook if you own this camera)
