110g / 3.8 oz Mixed dried fruit 0.27
210g / 7.5 oz Warm milk 0.13
1 egg 0.13
40g / 1.4oz veg oil 0.07
7g dries yeast 0.08
45g / 1.5oz Caster sugar 0.06

6 tea cakes at 0.16p each.
Add the yeast and sugar to the warm milk and let it stand to froth.
Mix the flour, salt, spice, fruit and lemon zest together in a bowl.
Put the milk mixture, egg and oil into the dry ingredients and bring together.
Kneed for a full 10 mins, then pace in a greased bowl and allow to prove for 1 hour.
Knock the air out and divide into 8.
Roll into 8 balls dust with flour and cover for 10 mins.
Shape into discs and place on the baking tray.
Cover again and leave for 1 hour.
Bake for 15mins in the oven at 190c / 375f / gas mark 5.
