The biggest event on National Day in Spain is a massive military parade along Madrid's Paseo de la Castellana – it is also Armed Forces Day. More than 4,000 soldiers walk through the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid this Wednesday, the same number as in 2022, with 150 vehicles (as then), 84 aircraft (58 planes and 26 helicopters), eight more than three years ago, as well as almost 220 horses.
