Please SUBSCRIBE if you benefit :) Hello Everyone! In this video you will learn all about London Travel Card. Let’s start! A London Travelcard is a paper ticket that allows for unlimited travel on all London Transport services within certain zones for a set period of time. It can be purchased for periods of 1 day, 7 days, 1 month or 1 year. Travelcards can be used on London buses, trams, the Tube, DLR, London Overground, Elizabeth line and National Rail services in London. The zones that a Travelcard is valid for depend on the type of Travelcard purchased. Travelcards can be purchased online or in person. It is important to note that unless you are going to make just one single journey on public transport in London, it is more cost-effective to purchase an Oyster card, contactless payment card or a London Travelcard transport pass, and not pay for single tickets.
Where can I buy a London Travelcard
London Travelcards can be purchased in several places, including:
• Underground stations, including Heathrow Airport
• Tourist information stands
• National Rail stations
• Certain newsagents
• Online at VisitBritain Shop
When purchasing a Travelcard, the format of the ticket received will depend on where it is purchased. For example, when buying a 7-day Travelcard at a tube station, it will be received in a pre-charged Oyster Card. If purchased at a National Rail station, it will be received as a paper ticket with the National Rail symbol on it, which is important if you want to use the 2 FOR 1 offers.
At the end of this video I would like to remind you that there is a comparison video between London travel card and Oyster Card in our next video. have a nice journey in londay and thanks for watching!
