The Uganda National Roads Authority says a World Bank supported initiative in reforming procurement is now yielding results with constructions costs per unit kilometer dropping by 40% as a result.
The Director for Procurement at the the roads authority Ayalwe Kebede says the unit cost has come down to 1.6 billion shillings from 2.4 billion shillings.
