Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad, wanted in Umesh Pal murder case, has been killed in an encounter by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Jhansi. Another person, Ghulam, with a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head, was also killed in the encounter by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, led by Deputy SP Navendu and Deputy SP Vimal. Police recovered sophisticated foreign-made weapons from the deceased.
