(5 Oct 1995) Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin addressed the Knesset on
Thursday afternoon (5/10), starting a 30 hour debate on the Oslo 2
accord expanding Palestinian self-rule in the West Bank. Rabin
assured MPs that the West Bank autonomy deal would not jeopardize
Israel's security. Outside the Knesset, scores of right-wing demonstrators shouted slogans and blew horns protesting
against the Oslo 2 agreement and calling Arafat and Rabin
murderers.
