Here’s a little video I did capturing some killer tones from my SV20.
I modded the bright cap in it the other day and it sounds so much more pleasant and usable to me. Has all the classic tones I was looking for when I purchased the amp.
Signal Path -
Guitars - SV20 - Torpedo Captor X - Focusrite 2i2 interface - Logic Pro X
All guitars were tracked straight into the amp, no pedals. The amp is connected into my Torpedo Captor X that is running a 4x12 Pre-Rola Greenback cabinet mic’d with an SM57 and 421, allowing silent recording!
The Torpedo Captor X runs direct into my audio interface. Very minimal post processing was done, Waves CLA-2A compressor on each track just to glue things together, I added Waves H-Delay/Reverb for the slide solo track only.
The channels are jumped but I only dialed in the normal channel on the slide solo, the rest was just the modded bright channel.
