In 1899, gold was discovered in this canyon and the prospectors were eventually led to this site which was the source of said gold. This is a very unique mine in that they used metal counterweights and a cable pulley system to open and close the ore chutes as well as the presence of much of the heavy machinery/equipment including a couple ore cars! This was such an extensive mine I didn't fully get the chance to explore all of it, hopefully I get the chance to go back and finish it off. Without any further ado, I hope you guys enjoy this one.
