This tutorial will take you through the whole process of requesting a clearance from ATC for an IFR flight plan. This was done in #msfs in the #fenixa320 on #vatsim , but these instructions will apply to any online network (probably), in any simulator and aircraft for the flight simulation world.

This was requested by @anorellaplayz4931, sorry for the long wait.


As promised here is the script from the video, insert your information into the square brackets ([ and ]) and simply read it out when you request clearance:

[Callsign] requesting IFR clearance to [Destination] with information [Letter] onboard and [Bonus Info...]


This is how I do it, if your way works and the controllers are happy then by all means do that.

DO NOT use this tutorial for any real life use at all, thanks.

Sorry about the audio volume changes here, it is a really hard thing to fix easily, I'm working on it!

Key thing: relax, take notes and breathe - everyone is a human and we all make mistakes. nothing is going to happy to you by getting it wrong or stumbling. You've got this!!

It took me quite a bit of time to get into VATSIM and IVAO, so don't worry, we've all been at the beginner stage!
