💁What's the big difference?
Besides the obvious of having one leg on the floor and one elevated on a box
Each is hard in its own right, so knowing how each one challenges you differently can help you to make a better choice of which one is right for you.
😡The Bulgarian Split Squat is overall the most challenging.
It forces you to balance on one leg with very little support from the leg behind you.
By raising your leg behind this really challenges your hip mobility and you can’t use any momentum during your reps, making each rep super strict!
⚖️The Lunge on the other hand challenges your balance on a different level as you need to step and land for each rep.
There’s more moving parts so this could make it more difficult for some that aren’t used to it.
Though with the back leg behind you on the floor this challenges your hip mobility a lot less and could be a great choice if this is a problem.
