The Philippines is investigating two powerful explosions that have ripped through the island of Jolo in the south of the country. At least 14 people have been killed in the back-to-back blasts. The first bomb went off just before noon, and another blast occurred an hour later about 100 metres away. The explosives are believed to be homemade.
