Safiullah Shareef, M.D., Chief Resident for Child Neurology in the Department of Neurology at The University of Louisville, presented “Finding The Weak Spot: A Localization Approach to Neuromuscular Weakness” at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on January 28, 2016.
The talk focused on reviewing symptoms that indicate neuromuscular weakness, key physical examination findings the assist in localization, exploring the pitfalls and critical diagnostic considerations, overviewing how patterns of presentation correlate with localization, and the role of neurophysiologic testing in assessing weakness (NCS/EMG).
