Previously hit by claims of shoddy works, commissioning of Isimba Dam should come at least in 5 months.
According to the Executive Director UEGCL Harrison Mutikanga, about 95 percent works on Unit one is complete as the installation of equipment on the three other units is ongoing.
The project estimated to cost about 567.7 Million US Dollars was also recently hit by compensation controversies which officials say nearly threatened execution of the project.
