In This Live Cello Improvisation Tutorial, I break down a simple method for taking one lick and developing an entire musical vocabulary with it. Like other improvisers, most cellists make the mistake of superficially learning to allot of licks instead of developing the tools and practice habits to really get the most out of the ones they already know.
