Hot takes incoming (altho yeah I might get stuff wrong lmk thx lol)
NFS 3 - This is pretty good, albeit the racing against AI is a bit scuffed, like it's gotta be perfect driving in a lot of cases or else you get borked to last place. Hot Pursuit mode is the goat, and I wish they brought it back in more games.
NFS High Stakes - Love this game, got me into racing. Plus if you're on PC, you get the NFS 3 tracks so that's a plus in my books.
NFS Underground - Love this game also. Probably my favorite soundtrack out of all the NFS games (I prefer it to Most Wanted even lol). But yeah, this game is golden, and I would love to see a remake of it and it's sequel packaged into a duology remaster, but I know that'll come with limitations to the ost and vehicles.
NFS Underground 2 - Take everything I said about the first game and multiply the kewlness by 10. That's Underground 2 for you. Probably my favorite NFS game in the Black Box era in the 2000s. More fleshed out open world, lots more to do, it's easily a game I can pick up and have a blast on.
NFS Most Wanted 2005 - Eh, I never had a strong attachment to this one, the open world is probably my favorite out of all the games but the progression is where I am like, yeah I don't really care. It's got a lot going for it, like the blacklist as a concept, and I may give it a go again, but I was underwhelmed by the blacklist system and how repetitious it all felt to me (like they took out the drifting for tollbooth and that event type just felt weak execution wise, didn't find it entertaining) and that really held it back for me. Pursuits were pretty solid, and I had a good time with them, and they are strongly immersive, but it all just felt like whatever to me. I like Most Wanted more for the races and the tracks, but the pacing prevented me from enjoying it.
NFS Most Wanted 5-1-0 - I don't really like this game. It's one of those games that isn't all that well... interesting to me anyway. Just doesn't feel like my type of game, similar to Most Wanted, but the controls just felt delayed. Dunno if it was because of the emulator, but I really didn't get a good grip with the controls, and top that with the fact that the designs of the race tracks were ripped straight outta previous games, and it just feels kinda soulless to me. All the charm of Most Wanted 2005 was stripped, and it feels like a nothing burger to me. I had my moments of fun but yeah I won't lie, this game kinda sucks.
NFS Undercover - It's fine, I guess. It's nothing too special, but I sorta have a guilty pleasure for this game, albeit I have vague memories of me playing the game itself, so who knows, maybe when I restart for an eventual playthrough with mods, it won't be too bad, but I'll admit the story was forgettable, and I could care less about the whole undercover crap in the game. Altho weaker than Most Wanted imo, it's still something I have no strong feelings for one way or the other.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 - I don't know, I just think this game is rather alright but it felt sorta half baked with a lack of custom events when offline sorta thing. I felt like it would've greatly increased the longevity of the game, but otherwise, it's a really fun game. It's not my favorite NFS game or the best Pursuit game out there, but I had some fun, even if I have skill issue admittingly.
NFS Nitro-X - This game is straight doo doo. I had the misfortune of playing it, and while it does have a lot of content, I could care less about it. Albeit admittingly it's been many years since I last played it, all I remember from it is the one song that keeps playing in the background every time, and that California sprint track. That's it. Probably the most forgettable NFS I've played.
NFS World - The community driven free to play game that got shut down in it's og run is surprisingly a diamond in the rough for me. Although I admit to having skill issue, I still adore the hell outta this game. Severely underrated if you ask me. It's got the most amount of cars in the franchise, and it's got some really rad servers to jump in on and join the fun. Easily the game I sank the most hours in.
NFS Rivals - Hot Pursuit but it doesn't feel like I am being restricted to career when offline. It's a really enjoyable game that got too much hate if you ask me. I loved this game growing up and while it has it's faults, it ain't the worst thing ever.
NFS 2015 - Story easily turned me away from it, plus the open world is just not it man. Easily one of the dullest racing games I've played.
NFS Heat - Really solid, even today, loved the open world, the pursuits were alright, really solid customization, and it's a banger game.
NFS Unbound - It's fine, but feels like a step down from Heat to me. The world could've been a bit more inspired and there's a lot of dumb decisions when going from offline to online, like the progression not carrying over to online mostly idk.
