Charles Blow opens up "Prime" talking to Texas State House Representative Democrat Jasmine Crockett about the Democrats leaving the state to prevent state Republicans from passing a sweeping voter suppression bill.
"The high stakes will grind legislative action to a halt because there won't be enough members present to conduct business under House rules," Blow says.
"Ultimately, if we can get federal protections even if they pass along this terrible law, we believe that what will happen, is what historically happens in the state of Texas, we will be told that the law is intentionally discriminatory and therefore portions of the law would actually be struck down."
